Corrections & Complaints
Briefzio publishes short briefs built from other outlets' reporting and its own analysis. When a fact is wrong, it gets corrected in public. This page explains how to report an error or file a complaint, what happens after you do, and what has been corrected so far.
Policy effective October 24, 2026
How to Submit a Correction
Email editorial@briefzio.com with the subject line "Correction request" and include:
- The URL of the brief and the exact sentence you believe is wrong.
- What the correct information is.
- A link or citation to a source that shows the correct information.
Plain email is enough. No form, account, or template is required.
What Happens Next
- The editor reads the request and checks the original source cited in the brief.
- You get a reply within two business days saying whether the brief will be corrected, clarified, or left as published, and why.
- If a change is made, the brief is amended in place and a dated note at the end of the brief explains what changed.
- The change is also recorded in the log below.
Corrections
A correction is appropriate when a brief states something factually wrong: a misnamed company or person, an incorrect figure or unit, a wrong date, a misattributed quote, or a claim the cited source does not support. Corrections are made to the brief itself and noted in the log. Briefs are not deleted to hide an error. If an error is serious enough that the brief should not stand, the brief is withdrawn and the log entry says so.
Complaints
A complaint is anything about how Briefzio works rather than a specific false statement: tone, framing, selection of stories, the way a source is described, missing context, or the use of AI in a draft. Send it to the same address, editorial@briefzio.com, and say what you would like changed. Complaints are read and answered within two business days, but a complaint does not obligate Briefzio to change a brief that is accurate.
Requests about personal data, including removal of a name or email address, go to privacy@briefzio.com and are handled under the privacy policy. Legal notices and copyright concerns can be sent to the editorial address and will be routed to the right place.
Corrections Log
Every correction made since this policy took effect is listed here, newest first. The log records the date, the brief affected, and what changed.
| Date | Brief | What Changed |
|---|---|---|
| October 24, 2026 | Policy effective. No corrections recorded yet. | |
This table is updated by the editor when a correction is published. A blank log means no corrections have been made, not that none will be.
Response Commitment
Briefzio is run by one person, so the commitment is deliberately modest and meant to be kept: a reply within two business days for corrections, complaints, and general editorial email. Complex requests may take longer to resolve, but you will get an answer within that window saying where things stand.
Privacy and data requests sent to privacy@briefzio.com are handled under the privacy policy, which describes the applicable response periods. There is no phone line and no public office address; email is the only contact channel.
